Hughes Dressage

We are excited and thrilled to have Team Hughes joining us for the first time at Your Horse Live. 

Watch and learn from the whole family. There really will be something for all riders to learn in this demonstration from top dressage riders, eventers and those just starting out on ponies with the amazing Ruby just being selected for both the Young Rider and Junior European Championships at the age of 15. 

Gareth Hughes is a member of the British World Class Podium Squad with numerous Nation Cup wins and over 60 National and International titles over the last 10 years. In addition to his competitive career, he also served as the Australian Eventing Dressage coach for 7 years, Swiss Dressage Technical Advisor for 3 years and is still a dedicated coach. 

Rebecca Hughes has represented Great Britain internationally at Small and Big Tours alongside sourcing, producing, and starting many young horses through to National Championships that have moved forward to competing internationally. She is one of the best trainers of all levels including Young Riders and eventers.

Ruby Hughes is a hugely successful 15-year-old that started in Vaulting, representing Great Britain winning numerous titles in both junior and senior championships. Now focussing on dressage, she has won more titles both team and individual on both horses and ponies and has been selected for the Young Rider and Junior European Championships.

Ben Atkinson

Is one of the world’s best stunt rider, trainer and liberty artists! He grew up and is still based in East Yorkshire with the family business, Atkinson Action Horses and rode in his first display when he was 11 with his dad Mark.  

He performs and trains around the globe alongside appearances for TV and film, including Peaky Blinders and Poldark. His horsemanship is spellbinding and he will wow you with fearless stunts, classical dressage and the magic art of Liberty.

Jay Halim

Crowd pleaser and Your Horse Live fave Jay Halim is back in the SEIB Arena. A familiar face on the 5*Global show jumping circuit with numerous wins and placing under his belt his demos are always fun and packed full of top tips to help you and your horse, as he caters for all levels from grass route to Olympians. Jay also used to event at a high level and breeds elite performance horses from his base in the Cotswolds.

Geoff Billington

SEE Geoff on Saturday & Sunday this November

Geoff Billington is a British showjumper who has regularly represented Great Britain at the European, World Championships and Olympics. Riding in over fifty Nations Cups for Great Britain.

He started riding at the age of nine. His parents were not horsey, however Geoff followed a group pretty girls and finished up at the local riding stables and the rest is history! 

Always full of good advice, stories and banter – you never quite know what you are going to see!

Oliver Townend MBE

SEE Oliver on Saturday & Sunday this November

Tokyo Olympic gold medal winner and the Worlds No1 Eventer Oliver Townend. His success has always been based on hard graft and a love for he horses he works with. He inherited this love of horses from his parents, Alan was also and event rider whilst mum, Eve, showed side saddle. 

Oliver began riding when he was 7 years old. His first success came when he was 11, with his pony Cool Mule at HOYS, then at 13 he represented GB on the Pony eventing team a the European Championships where he quickly climbed up the ranks and the rest his history. 

We are thrilled to welcome Oliver back after his amazing year, where he will catch up with Geoff Billington and no-one (not even them) knows what will happen.
