Our Equine team bring extensive industry experience and contacts plus all staff who teach on the equitation modules are BHS qualified.

Staff also undertake a range of collaborative research projects with industry leaders, giving valuable insight into the equine industry. In 2020, Natalie Stones, Equine Lecturer and Lorna Cameron, Teaching Fellow were awarded the highly coveted Lecturer Bursary for three years to support student research projects from the British Horse Foundation.

The grant will allow UCS to fund a programme of study that will build on our existing findings and aims to establish key points regarding rider performance, rider perception of body shape and its subsequent impact on equine welfare.
