Come and meet the largest equine breeds, 3 of which are native to the UK and are all listed as ‘Breeds at Risk’.
The Heavy Horse yard will have experts on hand to discuss all things heavy horse including plaiting practices (with the chance for you to have a go), information on maintaining the heavy horse and understand their versatility.
Annie the Shire, Seth the Clydesdale, Koogee the Percheron, Scarlett the Suffolk Punch, along with Shires Brigadier & Balmoral from the Hook Norton Brewery will be in their stables ready to meet you. We will also be showcasing each breed throughout the day in their turn out pen.
