Evie is a registered para athlete, juggling her love for horses with her health is a careful balancing act that sparked the beginning of her blog and social media with the aim to raise awareness and share the fun and chaos that comes with the juggle!
This summer she secured the Grade III national para championship titles, and was the only para showjumper to competed successfully at international level this summer with her horse Jack Sparrow in able bodied competitions.
Due to a spinal cord injury, Evie cannot feel and lacks strength on her lower legs, alongside being tube fed directly into her bloodstream via a Hickman Line for 16-20hours every day to stay alive…Her love her horses and motto of ‘Find a way, not an excuse’ is often what spurs her on when juggling both the ‘horses’ and ‘health’ side of life.
When not with the horses, Evie works in schools to raise awareness of invisible illnesses and encourage a more incisive future for children living with chronic health conditions, also working with Charities and medical companies to further improve quality of life and mental health for others…and always encouraging them to Find a way, not an excuse with whatever their passions might be.
